People Watching

So, today I learned that the London Underground is a very interesting place to observe people. There were two people who particularly stood out on the Tube:

1. The older man reading the newspaper while shamelessly picking his nose (and eating the evidence) in public.
"Old man picking his nose... is that socially acceptable in England? That might drastically change my thoughts on living in the UK one day..."
2. The 40-something-looking man sitting across from me, staring and thinking I didn't notice him doing so.
"He proceded to turn to my sister, who was sitting next to him, and mumble things about me in a tone inaudible to those my distance away. Fabulous. Later,I asked Sarah what he said, which was something along the lines of, 'Where is your friend from? ...ah, all the beautiful women come from California.'"
Tell me something internet. Why do men think its alright to STARE in public and then not actually talk directly to the women, but instead talk to her friends (or family) with the hopes of getting in thay way. What happend to chivalry? Courage, maybe?

Also, today I went to the Natural History Museum, which was fantastic (pictures to come... no computer available), and I went to my first pub!

The White Horse pub:
Overall, I liked the pub. Their beer and wine selection was literally the thickness of a magazine, but the dinner menu was short and the food was on the heavy side. I ordered my first alcoholic beverage overseas, a bottle of Dark Horse Amber Ale, which was delicious.

Ciao all... 'til next time.
