London, darling.

Greetings from England!

My journey has officially begun. I've decided that I will be posting e. erpts from my personal travel diary, but will not be writing it in full via the worldwide web (gotta have a little privacy, right?) For all of you back home, I have arrived at my sister's house in Wimbledon safely. Here's how my day has gone so far:

-Woke up and finished packing my bags. Loaded the car and grabbed my cup of coffee.
-Stopped by work, said goodbye to the owner and my job for the next two months.
-Attempted to purchase travelers checks, but failed.
-Saw my younger sister off at her gate.
-Dragged myself onto a plane for 11 hours, and survived.

"Just
anded -- wanting to go take a run and never stop."

Some new things I learned:
-Chips are called "crisps". Chips are french fries in the UK.
-At the end of a meal, you order the "bill", never the "check".
-New Zealand Air has decent food and awesome service.

I appologize for throwing posts together. This is all done via my Samsung Galaxy S3. When a computer is available I will seriously edit. Thank you for your patience.

Welcome to England Amanda!

Hope you're having a fantastic time despite the snow. I'll be in London at least a couple of days next week if you fancy a coffee, but if you have time you should come and pay us a visit in Northampton. You can meet Josephine, as well as Herb and Wilma if you come between 24th Jan and 5th Feb. Its only an hour on the train :)

Oh and chips aren't french fries. French fries are french fries. Chips are shorter and fatter. You'll soon learn the lingo!

Hopefully see you soon,

Rich
